Yangling has rich cultural relics, enriched agricultural resources and unique characteristics of agricultural science and technology. It has been successively approved as one of the first batch of agricultural tourism demonstration sites, national leisure agriculture and rural tourism demonstration region. In recent years, based on the tourism development orientation of “Holy Farming Land, Agricultural Science Highland, Health and Blessed Place”, and with the target of “Building the world-renowned and the domestic first class agri-tourism destination city”, Yangling exerts itself to creating the tourism brand of agricultural sciences popularization and ecological leisure travel, and has developed the four characteristic tourism plates including study tourism, farming experience, science popularization and relaxation, as well as sports and health rehabilitation. It launched a series of influential brand activities of characteristic tourism including Yangling Agriculture Science City International Marathon, Bike Invitational Tournament, Auto Cross Racing, Plant Identification Convention, Yangling Style Noodles Competition, and modern agriculture leisure tourism etc. The tourism industry has become an important support for promoting the rapid development of the demonstration zone. As of 2011, there were a total of 54 cultural relics in the Yangling Demonstration Zone. Among them, the Sui Emperor Wen's Mausoleum and the Ancient Tai State Site were national level cultural relics protection units, while the Kanjiadi Site, the No. 3 Teaching Building of West Agricultural University, the Jiangyuan Site, and the Bailongwan Site were listed as provincial-level cultural relics protection units.At present, there are two AAAA level tourist attractions, one AAA level tourist attractions, one four-star hotel, four three-star hotels and over 130 other hotels and guesthouses, 30 characteristic modern agriculture leisure farms, 16 travel agencies and subsidiaries, as well as over 100 agritainment houses.
